This course is a 6-hour follow-up to the 12-hour introductory class "Sound Healing for Massage Therapists". It is designed for those who would like to have more hands-on practice and go deeper into sound healing as a practical wellness modality. It will provide more opportunities for experiential practice after learning the basic principles of using sound as a complementary therapy to massage, bodywork and other healing modalities. You will have time to explore different ways in which to incorporate sound into your own practice- for example, combining vocal toning with bodywork, using singing bowls vibroacoustically (placing them directly on the body) and using other types of tuning forks on and/or off the body. Each student will receive a personal demonstration from the instructor and have more time to practice with each other, integrating the tools they have acquired during the prerequisite 12-hour course. By the end of the workshop you should feel confident in your ability to create a unique personalized approach to your bodywork sessions.
